We encourage you to check out the buying guides and tutorials.  The internet is a fantastic place to buy all sorts of gemstones but it can also be complicated and confusing . There is a huge range of gems ranging in price from Ebay 99 cent "specials" to very expensive "investments" in high-end stores. How do you choose between the vast array of items available ?  We hope the following guides will help you buy wisely.  Many of the notes particularly refer to sapphire but the general principles apply to many different types of gems.
