Etched reticle (ruler) for less obstruction while viewing.  Base is etched with both 1/8" and 1mm increments to assist with precision measurements.

Comes in a handy vinyl carry pouch and individually boxed.  The loupe folds flat for easy storage in a pocket or tool case.

This style of "linen tester" loupe has also been used in the textile industry to count threads and inspect fabric quality and in the printing industry to closely inspect proofs and negatives.  Becoming very popular with gem cutters and the like as they can be a little easier to use than the traditional jewellers loupe.  The jewellers loupe is usually held very close to the eye with the item brought into focus close to the lens - in contrast, this type can be held away from the eye with the tweezers or dop holding a gem resting on the base - steady and in focus.
