New order just received - now the second edition (c2008) - cover photo is slightly different.

his new book (copyright 2008) is written by renowned US faceter Jim Perkins, and is an introductory faceting text specifically tailored to beginning faceters using the Facetron facetor but also really useful to anyone using a mast type faceting machine.

Step-by-step cutting instructions and diagrams are presented in sequential lessons for four basic gemstone designs: a round brilliant, a standard round brilliant, a center-point oval and a trillion.

Also provided are cutting diagrams for eleven additional designs including five round brilliant variations, an apex crown octagon, a lazy oval, an apex crown trillion, a cut corner rectangle, and two square cushion designs.

This is an excellent resource for not only Facetron owners but anyone interested in starting out in faceting.

Book comprises 63 comb-bound pages (A4 size)
