We have finally received some stock of 33B tumblers (Sept'25) - note that the Auscut Smooth 3 tumbler is more affordable with some noticeable design improvements and reliable supply but these may be of interest to those needing the Lortone.
This Lortone double barrel tumbler allows you to tumble twice as much material as the 3A model (2 x 1.3kg = 2.6kg total capacity). Do two batches at once so you can have one lot grinding while another lot is polishing - much more efficient. Uses the same 3 pound moulded rubber barrels as the 3A model.
Aussie Sapphire was the Australian Master Importer For Lortone Corporation In the USA when they were in full production. We have found that supply has been very limited since the pandemic which prompted us to develop our own tumblers. However, now that Covington has taken over Lortone, we are able to source small quantities of machines where possible and will continue to stock spare parts. We are still authorized to carry out any Lortone Warranty work in our own on site Workshop if required.
This tumbler has a 220 Volt electric motor and 3 pin plug to suit the Australian power supply. Note that most USA suppliers charge extra for 220V so please keep this in mind when comparing prices. Overseas buyers should confirm power supply requirements before ordering.
This tumbler includes two 3 pound barrels - you may like to add a Rock Polishing Starter Kit which contains all the necessary grits and polish to get your started in tumbling - choose from Kit A or B above.
NOTE ON DIMENSIONS: The 33B is packaged in a box with dimensions 420 x 170 x 240 mm and weighs around 3.5 kg (it will not fit in an air satchel). The footprint of this machine is 400 x 160 mm (170 mm height to top of barrel).

LORTONE 33B TUMBLER
By: Kevin on 7 July 2020I have had this Wonderful Lortone 33B Tumbler for 2 months, and it is a Real Great Asset to my Lapidary Collection.It is quiet and does not vibrate at all.I have it set up in our downstairs spare bedroom and it never bother Us running 24/7 so far for 4 weeks, only stopping to change grits and water etc.I cannot recommend this Tumbler enough and would Recommend any Buyer too purchase this and any other of their machines and supplies.I live in New Zealand, and even with Postage fees it is Cheaper for Me to Purchase All my supplies from Aussie Sapphire where I get the best Support and recommendations from The Two Owners.
